Standby: Football: Hidden Valley vs Patrick Henry

The 2015 football season at Bogel Stadium (at Cave Spring Middle School) kicked off on Friday evening, August 28th, with the Hidden Valley High School Titans playing the Patrick Henry Patriots. The Cave Spring Rescue Squad was on hand to provide medical assistance to players or fans if needed. While we fortunately weren’t needed to provide care, we did get to watch the game, as Patrick Henry went on to roll over Hidden Valley by a score of 48-7. Hidden Valley plays at William Byrd High School on Friday, September 4th.

Standby: Friendship Retirement Community Concert #2

On Saturday evening, Cave Spring Rescue provided standby assistance to the Friendship Retirement Community’s summer concert series. The music was provided by Blue Mule. The weather was perfect, and several food and drink vendors were available. The audience enjoyed the concert, although he size of the audience was a bit smaller than the first concert. The final concert of the season is scheduled for Saturday, September 26, featuring The Key West Band.

Standby: Friendship Retirement Community Concert #1

On Saturday evening, Cave Spring Rescue provided standby assistance to the Friendship Retirement Community’s summer concert series. The music was provided by The Legacy Motown Revue. Friendship constructed an amphitheater adjacent to their community campus, at 397 Hershberger Road, Roanoke. The views are wonderful, the weather was quite nice, and several food and drink vendors were available. The large audience enjoyed the concert, with dancing taking place in front of the stage.
